Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity to support the work and mission of the World Bank Group? Are you currently enrolled in a full-time graduate or doctoral program? If yes, we would like you to apply for our Bank Internship Program.
As an intern, you will work at the forefront of development, sharing new ideas, fresh perspectives, and extensive research experience. You will work with project teams to advance our vision of creating a world without poverty on a liveable planet. In addition, you will enrich your skills, build your professional network, and invest in your career development journey.
Preferred Candidates?
We seek candidates interested in both operational and support functions. Internship opportunities are determined by business needs and typically include those studying economics, finance, human development (public health, education, nutrition, and population), social sciences (anthropology, sociology), agriculture, environment, engineering, urban planning, natural resource management, private sector development, and corporate support (accounting, communications, human resources, information technology, and finance).
What do we offer you?
In addition to great career development opportunities, you will be paid an hourly wage. The World Bank pays all interns an hourly wage and, where applicable, provides a travel stipend of up to $3,000 at the manager’s discretion. These travel expenses can only cover transportation (airfare) to and from the duty station city. Interns are responsible for their own accommodation. Driven by business needs, most intern positions are located in Washington, DC, with some located in World Bank country offices.
